Safety News Item – 07/18/08 – CSP Requirements Revised
The Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) announced that effective January 1, 2009 the qualifications for Certified Safety Professional® credentials will change.
The point system to establish individual examination eligibility will be revised, as will the credits received for certain degrees. In addition, among other changes, all candidates must have no less than three years of acceptable professional safety experience.

Safety News Item – 05/20/05 – NY Keeps Safety Program
New York governor George Pataki approved the state 2005-2006 fiscal year budget that includes an important safety and health program that had been targeted for elimination.
The governor had proposed eliminating the Hazard Abatment Board and cutting the NYOSH Training program funds.
The NY Committee for Occupational Safety and Health ran a successful lobbying campaign to maintain the program.
